I’m a big Will Taylor fan. We are old-school blogging homies and we used to comment on each others blogs and support each other back in the day before either of us had big audiences, decor books or anything like that. We shared a love for color when many blogs and designers were doing the whole minimal thang. And, besides the fact that Will has a great eye, is a fantastic writer and stylist and is full of good ideas, he’s also just a very cool, fun and sweet human being and I totally adore him. His new book, Bright.Bazaar’s Dream Decor, came out this week and it’s very, very good.
Y’all know I love this backsplash.
Believing that “a well decorated home is a collection of personal dividends gathered from one’s own experiences”, Will doesn’t set out to tell you how your home should look, but rather give his tips and pointers on how to hone in on your own style. He opens the book with a section breaking down the key elements of dream decor. From color, pattern, and texture, to furniture and even storage ideas, the opening chapters tackle six elements that “lay the foundations for a sensational room”, as Will puts it. Kind of a decorating 101 to help you get started in creating your own dream decor. And I can’t help but hear Will’s cute English accent as I read through all those tips and tricks. It’s like I have him on my shoulder throughout the book, which, I’m totally down with. (and P.S. are those upside down terra cotta pots holding up that coffee table?! Genius, right?)
The homes featured in the book, are divided up by styles (kinda like my book), with an opening for each chapter that delves into inspiration for the style- complete with beautiful photos from Will’s travels and a ‘recipe’ for the style, which goes into deeper detail on the essential elements. Whether an apartment in Paris, or an island home in Spain, each chapter distills down four tips to achieving the style in your space. The varied styles represented in the book offer lots of inspiration- no matter what your personal home style is–and I love that he takes us to different pockets of the world to make that happen.
(Above he featured the home of another pal, Anthony from Zio & Sons).
With a thoughtful layout, cute illustrations, beautiful photos by Andrew Boyd, and lots of tips in every chapter, Dream Decor will get you thinking about your home in a new way and help you to make it the place you’ve dreamed of. Bravo Will, you crushed this one.
Get the book here. It’s a beautiful addition to the coffee table.

Will is one of my favorites, too. He introduced me to “door porn,” which I still think is one of the funniest coined phrases ever. He has the best eye for color. His photos just knock me out. I can’t wait for his book to land on my doorstep.

I do not know whether it’s just me or if everybody else encountering difficulties with your website.
Seems like like a few of the written text in your content are running off of the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and inform me
if this sounds like happening in their mind too? This might be a issue with my browser because I’ve had
this happen previously. Thanks a lot
