I just arrived in Paris to visit family and their apartment is, you guessed it, tres chic! From the moment I walked in I was blown away with how they decorated the colorful, creative kids’ shared bedroom! Three sisters, Francesca (7) Camila (9), Sophia (11) share this oval-shaped bedroom and when I saw the triple bunkbed situation my heart skipped a beat! They had the bed custom made to accommodate the three sisters so that there would still be enough floor space to play and get all creative. Underneath the layered rugs you can see their herring-bone floors which I’m more than a little jealous of.
Also, this old furnace/fireplace thingy is crazy charming–and don’t get me started on the crown moldings and ceiling flourishes.
Kinda genius how their mom, Keenan, uses their paintings as wallpaper above the chair rail, right? It would be easy to steal this idea by installing a simple chair rail to walls and covering the top half with your kids’ artwork, huh?
Plus, how amazing is their artwork? I was blown away and inspired.
I love this room so much from the triple bunk beds, to the funky red piano, to the rounded walls and floors, moldings, furnace and creative personalization that makes this room feel fun, vibrant, creative and still very functional. So cool, yes? Stay tuned for more dispatches from Europe! xxx J
