Willian Santiago’s work seems to follow us- from Pinterest, to Instagram, and even on Facebook- his bold, textured portraits grab our eye everywhere they pop up. The Brazilian graphic designer and illustrator’s use of rich colors and plant life in much of his work immediately draws us in. The people he illustrates have serious style, too! We love the ladies from his Kalemba series.
A DJ himself, Santiago’s show posters are true works of art- with layers of detailed illustrations, they seem to capture the fun and energy of a night at the club.
Beyond his professional portfolio, even Willian’s Instagram is a source of inspiration, with a mix of his works in progress, and gorgeous photographs of the world around him. Plus, he’s clearly got a love for plants, and you know how we feel about that. ;)

His work reminds me a lot of the art I fell in love with as a college student back in the 60s and 70s. The simple, blocky shapes and nearly empty backgrounds, the mix of patterns and color, the addition of typography. I liked it then and I still do. It gives your eyes playtime.
