I recently came across (then promptly fell in love with) the work of Oslo-based illustrator Isabelle Feliu. Her works are sensual, current (yet somehow timeless), and relatable in a very chic way. Some of her pieces remind of Picasso — others Botero or Matisse (or a mix of the three)– with a decidedly womanly twist. I fell hard here , y’all. Her prints (and other stuff) are available on her Society6 site. I would love to try and get an original piece from her. Aren’t they beautiful?

I love the one with the women dancing. They all have graceful movement and color to them. Thanks for sharing…

I love how she depicts such a variety of women in a way that’s relatable but still slightly surreal – so gorgeous!

Clearly a very talented artist.
That said it’s hard not to notice that the drawings of black and brown women were generally more sexualized than the drawings of white women.
Also the picture of the naked brown woman lying in the desert was disturbing on multiple levels.
I think the author should continue her work but be more careful about the way she portrays race.
