After a very fun and inspiring summer teaching art and business/marketing for artists to a group of seriously talented youth from The RightWay Foundation, we are culminating the program with an art show exhibiting the works we created together. In case you need a refresher on this program, we are teaching foster youth and former foster youth as part of the Neighborhood of Good® campaign, sponsored by State Farm. We hope you will join in celebrating on Wednesday, Sept. 13th from 6PM – 8:30PM. The show is open to the public but you must RSVP here in order to attend.
We will be serving sips and snacks and you will get a chance to meet me there, along with all of the artists featured in the show. The art will be for sale and all proceeds from the art show will go back to The RightWay Foundation to help foster youth, former foster youth and victims of sex trafficking with housing, job training and job placement. In my 8+ years of blogging, this has been (by far!) one of the most rewarding experiences/opportunities that has come my way and I’m extremely humbled, excited and motivated to continue to offer these types of programs to foster good in our communities, so a big huge THANK YOU to all involved — especially to The RightWay Foundation, State Farm and Whitney Leigh Morris (who is co-hosting the event with me!) who introduced me to The RightWay Foundation in the first place ––and hopefully to YOU! We hope to see you at the show. Here are the deets:
