Styled by Justina Blakeney and Caitlin Levin, Photos by Carla Richmond

Hey friends. I apologize in advance to folks who are anti Valentines day, but things are gonna be a bit on the sweet side over here, at least for today. In addition to our fort that was on Design*Sponge yesterday, Caitlin and I also styled a bedroom for the occasion. By tacking up a few sarongs and oversized scarves, some ribbon and a couple of lanterns, we turned up the exotic romance and turned down the monotony…a few truffles and a splash of champagne…and Valentines Day is served.

Be sure to visit the blog later on today as we will be announcing a sugary sweet giveaway.

I commented on the D*S post that I thought the fort would make a great bedroom feature, even as a permanent piece. Thanks for more inspiration!

  13. Thanks for this post!! Your ideas about turning a bedroom or living room into cozy love nest are really inspiring and just make me plain happy for some reason! Maybe it is because I am undeniably in love at the moment and have been for quite a number of years. I am off to go redecorate!

Hi there, I love what you’ve done with this room, so much that I am basing my new bedroom off of it. I am looking for a great floral/ethnic throw blanket and a rug similar to the one in the picture. I am also looking for a pillow similar to the main navy ethnic one. Do you have any suggestions where I can find these products (or similar ones)? I have been searching for weeks now!

  22. Wonderful site you have here but I was curious if you knew of
any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article?
I’d really like to be a part of group where I can get advice from other experienced individuals that
share the same interest. If you have any suggestions,
please let me know. Thanks a lot!
