One of the most pleasing and possibly the easiest dessert ever: the Affogato al Caffe. (Affogato means “drowning” in English, because the ice cream is drowning in espresso.) This is a new take on an old classic–instead of vanilla I have used a cardamom pistachio ice-cream and topped off my espresso drizzled dessert with crushed amaretto cookies.
What you will need:
Freshly brewed espresso
Pistachio ice-cream

Amaretto cookies

What you will need to do:
Brew fresh espresso and top a scoop or two of ice-cream with the espresso and crumbled cookies!
