I’m a little wedding’ed out at the moment so I’ve decided to ignore my editorial calendar and switch things up a little bit. I’ll post the last of the wedding pics next week and diversify a bit for now.
It is my belief (and practice) to fill homes with pieces that are either homemade and vintage. These are the pieces that speak to me the most–the pieces that I find to be the most interesting and the pieces that seem to have soul. Last year I bought a lithograph from my sweet and remarkably talented friend Dabito. It took me forever to get it up and framed, but now that it is in my bedroom, not far from my turquoise window seat, and paired with my seagulls–I’m thrilled. I love being surrounded by great art made by people I love. It makes my life so rich.
Next up is this ridiculously cool mid century plant hanger I found while scouring Etsy for my week as Etsy’s guest pinner. (I knew that gig was gonna cost me–how was I not gonna find something I just *had* to have!?) I hung it up today and put in it what I believe to be a Blue Star Fern (if any of you are nerdier about plants than I am–please let me know if that’s right??) It’s pretty much my favorite jungalicious moment right now in the house and I’m already thinking about carpenters I know who can recreate the design for me in all kinds of crazy colors…here I go again…
That’s it. Now before I bring anything new into the house, I gotta get rid of some of the old stuff or Jason may kick me to the curb :P We are reaching capacity. Yikes!
That planter is gorgeous. I don’t have plants but I want it. What’s the Etsy store? I’m an Etsy fanatic. Your wedding pics were simply beautiful btw. Thanks.

The lithograph is wonderful. I love the fact that it’s bright but not graphic – the washes are just beautiful. I would feel happy every time I looked at it. :)
