I remember when I discovered that Amber was not a stone, but fossilized tree resin– it blew my mind. I was about thirteen years old and loved anything made of the honey-colored substance. I used to go to the Ashby Flea Market in Berkeley where I grew up and look for little rings or beads–by the time I graduated from high school I had amassed quite a collection. To this day, I find it hard to tell which pieces are plastic and which are real amber–but to be honest it doesn’t really matter to me–I just love the look of amber in all it’s caramel shades. Here is an amber-inspired round up (even though not all of these items are true amber either.)

Murano Brass & Amber Glass Sputnik Chandelier
