A Gardinspired kitchen

When we moved into this house on 2nd St. we decided we wanted to make the kitchen feel like a greenhouse — so we painted a kelly green trim and accent wall and we used cascading plants on the windows instead of drapes.  We put succulents and herbs in shelves that were built-in to the window. This got me thinking about designing a kitchen with and inside/outside garden theme–and wouldn’t it be fresh to have a kitchen with outdoor furniture, lanterns, lots of plants and botanical-inspired tableware?  Here is my take on it. I can picture using that white + glass cabinet for food storage, but also using a few compartments for plants. How cool would that be? I also love the idea of painting the garden chairs different custom colors to create a pop. I am loving the mix of greens and lavender.
