The Multi-talented Map
As someone who loves to travel, globes and maps (especially vintage ones) will always be dear to me. While google maps adn GPS are super convenient, the maps that you can hold in your hands or spin and point to in a haze of dreamy inspiration hold a special place in my heart. Maps help us to find our way–but sometimes they even help us get lost–and sometimes, getting off of the beaten path is the best way to travel.
Maps add a sense of whimsy and adventure to outfits and rooms. I love the pillows and am considering a few for the L’il Boomba’s nursery. I also think the pendant lights are lovely and can imagine the pendant lights made from one of those vintage black globes looking so hot. I hope you get to go on a little adventure today!

Ahh, brilliant. I could stare at a map for hours. So many possibilities.
I’ll never tire of seeing map walls – just wonderful! Have a top notch week Jungalow Queen!
Luvie love this! I’ve always had corners of my many different apartments covered in maps & postcards. Feels like you’re traveling even when you’re not! Oooo, but I hadn’t seen some of these ideas before. So rad. Loves.
I thought of you the whole time I was working on this post–especially with the wallpaper behind the desk–so very *Shannon* #lovesit
I think you could love the work of Claire Brewster, she cut out birds from maps. It’s so beautiful and delicate! http://clairebrewster.co.uk
By the way I discovered your blog about a week ago and I love it, I love what you do(especially the way you combine colors and pattern) and your positive energy!
I wish my house will have the similar atmosphere (for that I need to settle first! ^^)
Thank you for sharing Claire’s work– it’s so beautiful!
Oh I love maps…I love that bowl. Cool post =)
Oh these are all so gorgeous, I would love a wall papered in maps, but need a bigger house first. We have recently updated a side table with an old atlas, I’m really chuffed with it
