As someone who has always been passionate about design and social action–I absolutely love and admire companies that manage to combine the two–31Bits is one of those companies.
Besides making jewelry that is both recycled and really fun to wear, they also provide their designers and makers in Uganda with English lessons, finance training, community groups, health education and vocational training with the goal of both having a successful, fashion forward business and assisting women in Gulu, Uganda to rise above poverty.
