Many of us experienced extreme weather the weekend– I hope those of you on the East Coast are safe and dry. I stayed home for the most part. I had Jason hose me off in the yard a few times to stay cool and had the fans on high. I worked on decorating our bedroom and with the little tent that I created over the bed, we have an easy time imagining that we are in some hot foreign village on a romantic, exotic getaway. It’s amazing what a few pops of orange and two Turkish towels can do….

I love the clock and the three little owls on the bedside table. They’re so charming! Well, I think you did a great job in turning those Turkish towels into an “exotic” getaway feeling. Nice idea!

Justina Blakeney says
@Amy Marie – I found the clock at the Pasadena City Flea Market– sorry I couldn’t be more helpful and tell you that I got it at like West Elm or something :-/

Peshtemal is a product which used since centuries and called ‘traditional Turkish bath towels’. Peshtemal is used in Anatolia for thousands of years, because it absorbs the water quickly, easy to dry and lightweight. There are many different varieties of peshtemal like Cotton, Bamboo, Polycotton, bamboo and cotton, linen, etc. Peshtemal can be used in the bathroom, the beach, sauna, fitness room, gym, beauty center, hairdresser, the design of the house and many areas of life.
Turkish towels also known as Hammam towels were used to bath brides before their wedding day. These are considered pure in the Turkish ceremonies and have been a gift to the Turkish community. Fluffier with every use and super-absorbent Fouta towels are the best Turkish bath towels in the world!
