The jungalow is bursting at the seems with all of my precious #thriftingwithjustina finds (and some designer pieces) from all over the world, and, truth be told…I just can’t stop. If I drive by a thrift shop I pull over so fast you’d think there was an ambulance behind me. Once I’m inside, I’m scanning shelves like nobody’s business! If I see something I think is cool, and the price is decent, I go for it.
I figure I have an addiction at this point because it’s gotten SO bad that I’ve started to hide things around the house when I bring them home, like it’s alcohol or weed or something–haha!! I’ve got paintings, wall-waeavings, pitchers, mid-century lamps hiding ALL under my desk, under my bed, behind doors…it’s really bad–but I do love my crap!
I like to rotate pieces that are on display before I put the stuff in clients’ homes or sell them. Then, of course, there are pieces that belong the the permanent collection that are always on view at the jungalow, like my Ndebele fertility dolls (not that we’re already trying for number two). Anyway, here are a few snaps of me rotating some new-to-me pieces in and out of this little nook in our bedroom. Which look is your fave?

My eye is drawn to the first one just so full of color.I love the thrifting too just wish we had the same kind of places and stuff that you seem to run into.
This cracked me up….I have the same secret. I have amazing wall weavings, rugs, art….hidden all over my house. I think we are sick! At least it’s a fun sickness:) My personal favorite is the last picture. Love!

ME too!!!! I’ve been thrifting by the rule lately, “No new projects!” Which means I can buy it if it’s ready to be used, but not if it neeeds refinished, repainted, reworked, whatever. I also have to consistently tell myself, “The world is full of beautiful things and you do not need them all.” and “Only buy what you are absolutely in love with because you’ll find more great stuff the next time you thrift, too.” Haha! You can tell it’s a problem when you have at least mantras to deal with it! :)
This is all so amazing! I love it! I had to cut back a bit on my addiction as we are now in a really small apartment with almost no storage. Ugh!
