I think the whole idea of a ‘Color of the year’ is a bit silly, do you? The concept of ‘trends’ in general is pretty enigmatic to me and it feels contrived to select one color above all of the others for a random stretch of time to be THE color. Buuuuut seeing as though Panton does name a Color of the Year, and 2013’s color just so happens to be emerald green, and emerald green is one of the most jungalicious of all the colors, I couldn’t help but do a post about it. I mean, not to toot my own horn or anything, but my kitchen has been emerald green since, like, 2011 ;)
See? The color we used here is Mint Sprig, by Behr.
Here are some of my favorite emerald finds:
Pouf
Faceted mirror
Rare Verner Panton Pantonova Seat
Green Hair Man Magnet by Irene Ronin
Dress
Sundae Glasses
Hemmerle Earrings

Color of the year, huh. I am so fond of all color, when asked it is always so hard to chose one favorite. I think I could find any given color at my house on a moments notice. So I guess that makes me always on trend. :)

I’m with you all the way through on this one. You’re obviously way ahead of the trend. In fact, they probably got it from you! I do love emerald green though. It makes me think of The Wiz for some reason. I’m super jealous of your green accent window!
